The phrase "This is not education" has become a popular response to the idea that learning should be about learning. The idea that an object can take on the characteristics of anyone who studies it is what makes it so appealing to the masses. It’s much easier to simply say an object is cute or cool than to lay out the work it takes to make something like that. And, in many cases, it's true.
